Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving brings many images and thoughts to mind, the holiday is woven into the very fabric of our upbringing here in America, we have much to thank our Creator for. I'm especially thankful that Lily was in my arms this morning on my birthday resting peaceably at home after her trying ordeal at the hospital. I'm thankful for how the Lord designed our bodies to heal and just to watch the miracle of a nursing infant so close and in-tune with her mother Chelsea. I'm grateful for my family, all 18 in my immediate group, 5 kids, 5in-law kids, 7 grandchildren and of course for Ted. I'm thankful for Lighthouse Fellowship, the church God has intrusted to our hearts and the sweet fellowship of believers in Christ. Yes, I have much to be thankful for, thank you Jesus.

the hospital again?

please if you would, pray for our little Lily, she has been re-admitted to the hospital for jaundice. (Sat. evening) Chelsea is staying at the hospital with her but can only hold her and cuddle her while nursing, (every 3 hours) otherwise she is under the UV lights with a beanie and tape over her eyes hooked up to an I.V. Our hope and trust is in the Lord, that He will give wisdom and healing, that He will help Chelsea and Jordan through this trial. Ps. 121, I lift my eyes unto the hills, from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

beautifully and wonderfully made

The miracle of life, only God. Well done Chelsea and Jordan, tell her all about this day that He gave to you, blessing indeed!

worth the wait

there is a verse in the Bible that says "the end of a thing is better than its beginning", and that would certainly apply to labor and delivery! Chelsea, Jordan and I entered the hospital on Tues. at 7:00 a.m. and welcomed and waited upon Lily until 7 something Wed. night, but she was worth the wait and all the hard work of labor was rewarded with the delivery of a beautiful baby girl who has her mother's eyes and cheeks and her daddy's nose, a blending of two becoming one. I am so proud of Chelsea how she continued to persevere through difficult back labor for hours on end, well done darling! Pictures definitely forthcoming :0)

Playing the waiting game

no news yet on baby Lily, apparently she already knows she's the princess! I've nearly finished my Christmas shopping, now I need to wait upon Christmas to give the gifts. I have Finn's 1st b-day gifts all tied up, but I need to wait until his party on Dec. 6th to deliver the goods. I've had Abbey's birthday gift for months, just waiting for the 13th of Dec. to roll around. Angie's going to be 31 on Dec. 27th, no need to wait for her b-day to deliver a gift, I gave it to her in Oct. when I went to England for Jack's b-day! Perhaps all this waiting is producing patience, I sure hope so :0)

Strength

I don't have a lot of photos of Ted, but this one represents one of his greatest character traits, STRENGTH. We can always count on him, lean on him, run to him, call him for advice, cry on his shoulder, he never changes, he's never too busy. He serves his family and his congregation with godly strength. What would we do without this amazing man! Happy Anniversary T, 21 years and counting :0)
